Dr. Alexandria Watson, SLPD, CCC-SLP
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

After serving 25+ years in the United States Air Force as an engineer, Dr. Alexandria Watson, SLPD, CCC-SLP shifted gears to pursue a career working with children, a life-long passion. She became a pediatric speech-language pathologist, earning a master’s degree from South Carolina State University and doctoral degree from Northwestern University. Her areas of experience and expertise focus on providing evaluations, assessments, and therapy to toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary school age children who present difficulties in their receptive and expressive language development, speech sound production, fluency, social communication, and early literacy development. Her expertise also extends to working with children diagnosed with autism and/or ADHD and those awaiting a diagnosis to address language, social pragmatic skills, and communication-related needs.
With BEAS, Dr. Watson is our primary clinician who conducts comprehensive evaluations and assessments, speech-language pathology independent education evaluations (IEEs), and parent/caregiver education and training. She also provides tailored professional development for early childhood professionals working with children from birth to five years old. She is certified by the American Speech-Language Association (ASHA), meaning she holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Likewise, she maintains a current license from the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
